School Uniform

Our aim is to provide your child with the highest possible standard of education and looking smart for school is a key part of this. We do however, recognise the importance of ensuring that school-uniform is not a barrier to attendance and is affordable for parents. With this in mind we have tried to produce a uniform which can be purchased inexpensively from most stores.

We realise that shoes may be a problem as fashion dictates the stocks of many shops. Parents must provide black, plain, flat shoes rather than a heeled variety as this reduces the likelihood of an accident, particularly in practical rooms where safety is a priority.

The items of uniform that need to be purchased from the official school supplier are the school sweatshirt and PE polo shirt embroidered with the school logo.  See the ALP Uniform Policy for full details of the school uniform including PE Kit. Support to help families with uniform is readily available through our LINK family support centre. Many of our families generously donate good quality second - hand uniforms so often our sites have an available supply in the school office.  We also donate our uniforms to local charity shops on the main Ashington high street prior to the summer holidays so that these can be accessed when school is closed ready for the Autumn term.

Our uniform provider is Emblematic please click here http://emblematic.co.uk to access the online uniform shop, alternatively parents can visit the school shop to purchase uniform direct which is located at:

Emblematic Ltd, 30 Glebe Road, Bedlington, Northumberland, NE22 6JT

Tel: 01670 820262   Email: sales@emblematic.co.uk

School Wear Shop Opening hours: Wednesdays 12pm – 5pm Saturdays 10am – 4pm  (extended opening hours

during the summer – see Emblematic website for details)

Lost Property

All items of clothing should be clearly labelled.  This helps children identify their own clothes and assists with reuniting lost property.  We do have a lost property box on each site, but it is often the case that items of clothing have been left in the classroom or cloakroom.  It is always worth checking with your child’s teacher if you are missing any items.

Stationary - School will provide your child with everything they need so there is no requirement to purchase pencil cases etc. If you do wish to purchase a pencil-case, please try to avoid expensive, trendy options.
