At Central Primary School, we recognise the value and opportunity that after school clubs add for our pupils.

We aim to provide a variety of clubs to ensure that our pupils are given every opportunity to experience a wide variety of extra-curricular activities that provide character education as well as equipping pupils with the knowledge, skills and cultural capital they need to succeed in life.

All of our after school clubs have been carefully planned linking aspects of character education, cultural capital, careers links and skills for life. Pupils will have the opportunity to refine, develop and explore new skills that will be transferable across our curriculum.

Opportunities to take part in accredited courses as part of our after school provision will be available throughout the year.

We are also working closely with our School Sports Partnership and our community, to ensure our pupils have an opportunity to take part in competition, festivals and workshops.

Summer term 1 clubs

Over the course of the year, all pupils will have the opportunity to attend a range of clubs that will develop and enhance their skills. Please use the link below to sign up to summer term 1 clubs, which will commence after half term.  Each club will run for a half term duration. Pupils must sign up by Thursday 7th April as clubs will start on the first week back (after the Easter half term) Important information Pupils must have appropriate sports clothing to take part in PE clubs - this includes suitable weather protection.

If a pupil’s behaviour at a club is not at the expected standard, then they may be asked to not return to that club for safeguarding reasons. Lower site clubs finish at 4.15pm and upper site clubs finish at 4.30pm unless stated.  Pupils will be dismissed from the main entrance of each site. If your child is in Year 5 or 6, then please indicate whether they can walk home.

Pupils in Year 3 and 4 MUST be collected.

Community

 In the community

As well as reintegrating our extra curricular provision, we are also looking to support pupils in the wider community and opportunities they can access outside of school.

Groups and Activities

Throughout the year, we signpost different activities that happen in your local area for you to access. This page will include information for additional activities your child/yourself may wish to access.  Get in touch If you are part of an active group in the community such as brownies, cubs, cadets etc and our pupils would benefit from knowing about this opportunity in our area, please get in touch.

Listed below are some of the clubs that we  have previously offered. Parents will be notified by letter and social media when clubs are available with guidance on how to sign up to a range of clubs over the year.

For more information on the specific areas of cultural capital development for after school clubs and our curriculum offer, please see ‘Cultural Capital Mapping’ within the main Cultural Capital page located within the 'School Information' menu.
