Admissions

Admissions Information

Due to current restrictions, visits to school for prospective new parents/pupils are being managed in a COVID-19 safe way. If you would like to join our school and would like to arrange a visit, please contact:

01670 813111 for upper site admissions 

01670 810570 for lower site admissions 

Our friendly staff will ensure that you have all the information you need to make a decision on your child's school place while ensuring that everyone is kept safe.

Central Primary School is a three form entry (90 pupils per year group) split across two sites: Lower site – early years and KS1, Upper site – KS2 


Nursery Admissions

To apply for a place in our nursery, please request an application form from the School Office or you can download one from here. Please complete the form and return it to school. We usually have three intakes per year and children join the nursery in the term after they turn three (September, January and April).  For further information, please refer to the Pre School Admission Policy.


Reception Admissions

To apply for a place in Reception, please visit the Northumberland County Council website:https://www.northumberland.gov.uk/Education/Schools/School-admissions-places-appeals-1.aspx#schooladmissionplacesandappeals   or ring the Admissions Team on 01670 624889.  For further information please refer to our ALP Admissions Policy.

Little Learners@Central

Little Learners@Central is for two year old children and is managed and staffed by our school. To find out if you are eligible for a free place contact the Family Information Services on 01670 623592 or email  fis@northumberland.gov.uk alternatively click on this link for further information http://www.northumberland.gov.uk/default.aspx?page=15706. We also admit paying clients. Further information available from the office.
